Wednesday night I did laundry, and ran into the grill lady from the start of my freshman year. She's the awesome one that quickly and efficiently helped everyone, knew everyone's name, and even details about their life. She still works catering events, and even a couple of years or so ago she was sneaking me food at events. She used to love watching me play Tekken in the UC when working an event there. I didn't know she lived in the area. I talked to [livejournal.com profile] martinzinkevich on the phone, and the first thing he says is that he just rode on a Segway purchased for robotics research. How Marty.

Last night was Game Night. As usual, [livejournal.com profile] drunkinmunchkin said that she and [livejournal.com profile] willthestud were going to show up. As usual, they didn't, but I had an AIM message waiting for me this morning at work. [livejournal.com profile] kikibird and I tied with 93 points each in Royal Rummy when [livejournal.com profile] runstaverun got wiped out. Then we played a number of card games, and [livejournal.com profile] kingfox won the Balls (in [livejournal.com profile] fmrflyboy's honor), Dropguts, and Belleville Dropguts triathlon. Meanwhile [livejournal.com profile] runstaverun attempted to play Tiddly Winks with the chips he had left, getting one in [livejournal.com profile] kikibird's scotch. She responded by throwing it at him, and it stuck to his shirt. Finally, we played Enchanted Forest, which [livejournal.com profile] runstaverun won.

Shortly I'm off to Chris Palermo's wedding, and then off to the reception. I get to sit with [livejournal.com profile] dougthekidd's grandparents, who rock. As Doug put it, I'm sitting at the cool table. Unfortunately, I didn't have much notice being able to go to the wedding, let alone the reception, so I wasn't able to get an amazing personalized gift. The lame money gift rears its predictable head.

Tomorrow Doug and I see Santana at Jones Beach. Maybe another spiritual experience, yes no? Then I'll see if my co-worker (not linking for reasons he understands)'s still raging with his gathering.

Sunday I do the EB thang.

Evil.
