I know that both sloppy joes are real. I know that the manwich-y thing is the popular sloppy joe dating back to the depression. Hell, [livejournal.com profile] blackbytes knows of the Essex County deli where they first started making the sloppy joe that [livejournal.com profile] dougthenut believes in, which originally contained tongue. I know full well that the ground beef and red sauce sloppy joe is more recognized as the true, but read this, towards the bottom. There's evidence for either one being the original. Truth is, it never mattered to me.

I just wanted to do the following:

  1. Fuck with people, in honor of ``Provoke the Listener'', which everyone should listen to.
  2. See how far [livejournal.com profile] dougthenut was going to run with this insanity.
  3. Claim something crazy in honor of [livejournal.com profile] g_knox's fake death.

So, thanks for the fun! You people rock. The fact that [livejournal.com profile] periol bought me cans of sloppy joe sauce this morning was great. People posting about it cracked me up. The reception when I arrived to work an hour and a half hour ago was priceless. Hell, I'm even sort of mocking myself, and my fanatical devotion to silly random things like Pokemon, central Jersey, and Happatai. So thanks for the good natured ribbing, and playing along, good times.

UPDATE: Did you really expect anything else from the man who worships Skaggs, the /. troll community, real life trolls, baiting, Zug (back when they were good), and classic Usenet trolls?

The R40 is looking nice. Big Blue has some nice little differences in how it handles driver upgrades and the like that make others seem outdated. No downloading things that get run with DOS boxes, no way. Instead, download, auto-extract to the preferred directory, then one utility handles the smooth installation of as many as possible. It only barfed on WinDVD, and even then provided a button to let me pick up the pieces. Yeah, not that complicated. Yeah, technology that's not innovative or new. But things have been smoother on the whole than last year. I realize a good deal of that is me not being the man I was a year ago, but it's not just that.

I'm still pumped as hell about seeing The Fugs tomorrow. Last night and most of the day, I had their first two albums on shuffling repeat. Right now the farmer rambling about the river of shit is going on in the background. Well you know... ) If more people would like to join us, you're welcome to. This is like seeing Santana in Mexico, Fear Factory in LA, or Wesley Willis in Chicago. The Fugs, in the Village. Much like Gabriel, this might be their last tour. They're even older than he.

Saturday we saw horsies race and had a Jersey day! )

Sunday I saw nature and did laundry! )

Monday means more pirates! )
