jesus, that does sound awful. poor bruce, poor fans. when watson plays we go to the venue half an hour before we play, sit around making fun of everybody, play, and immediately leave. sometimes if i have a bad day at work or if my butt itches or (this happens most often) there's a shitty drumkit on stage (in bangladesh all bands use the same drumkit live and i love the ones i play too much to expose them to other hands and feet) i don't give it my 100%, and then later on i realize that there were people watching us for the first time and it was probably important to them. not anywhere nearly as important as watching maiden, but it's the same concept.

phantom of the opera is on my top five favorite maiden songs as well. the others would be seventh son, the evil that men do, the number of the beast, and something off of somewhere in time like stranger in a strange land or wasted years or caught somewhere in time. an odd mixture i know, esp since i'd rate powerslave as a much better album than somewhere in time, but there you go.

re: sea of madness, caught somewhere in time, the prophecy (!!!) or moonchild, when have they done any of these songs live? god, i'd give a fucking arm to see these songs. god, and adrian AND dave AND janick!!!!!!!!!!!! ALLAH!!!!!!!!

the other day we played the clairvoyant at practice. i used to be able to play every maiden song ever, (well except i cheated on songs like caught somewhere in time because fucking nicko, fuck that guy, he isn't human), and these days since i only really need to play our own music, which is all playing to MY strengths, i was SO fucking busted by the end of the songg. man. I WILL BE BOOOOOOOOORN AGAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
