[livejournal.com profile] petemagyar came home, I shaved. Brian showed up, followed by Mike and eventually [livejournal.com profile] strawberrygal. Various films were watched, Brian did some karaoke, he and I played some Soul Calibur 2 for a while. We had a couple of cocktails, then wandered about searching for food. The town was pretty dead, it seemed. Every place we hit was closed, until we stumbled on Rice Shop. We've gotten delivery from there a few times, but never visited the actual place. It's the place that does Korean, Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, Malaysian, and I'm sure others I'm forgetting. We ate, Mike left, and we started working our way uptown after hitting my usual ATM across the street from my favorite place.

We stopped at Louise and Jerry's, a wonderful little bar. [livejournal.com profile] petemagyar and I have passed the place a dozen times, and most of the time saw some hot indie female or females near the window. During our pub crawl, it was one of our favorite bars out of the five or six we hit. That review sums it up nicely. A very friendly place, with a bartender who memorized what we wanted immediately despite working a decent crowd himself, and me ordering instead of [livejournal.com profile] petemagyar. So having enjoyed the place we returned there, had a couple of drinks, and then started walking to the northern third of town to meet up with [livejournal.com profile] strawberrygal's friends.

We met up with them at Tenth and Willow. Read an entertaining story about Hoboken native Joey Pantoliano and that bar here.

The crowd was your typical Hoboken crowd, and a large one at that. [livejournal.com profile] strawberrygal made some comments about it being a sausage festival, with lots of hot guys and a few dog-faced women. I pointed out one guy who had a good pseudo-distinguished vampire-esque look going on to [livejournal.com profile] petemagyar, when [livejournal.com profile] petemagyar insisted the guy was playing for the other team. We debated this for a bit, as I insisted that I saw him hitting on some girls and getting a couple of numbers. I was proven wrong minutes later, when the guy tried to pick [livejournal.com profile] petemagyar up. Brian tore up the dance floor, and some guy tried grabbing me on the way out. [livejournal.com profile] petemagyar kept on apologizing to [livejournal.com profile] strawberrygal for the way guys behave, and the sins of his gender.

We wandered down home, [livejournal.com profile] strawberrygal said she was hungry, so we swung by 7 Star, grabbed some pizza, and ate it at Church Square Park across the street. After that we walked home, Brian played some Voodoo Vince, and we all crashed.

Now I'm going to get ready, maybe visit [livejournal.com profile] runstaverun and [livejournal.com profile] kikibird if I have time, and then swing by the Magyar household for Thanksgiving. Tomorrow I work at EB for Black Friday.

I love dogs.

sorry

I tried to call at about 12 when I let NYC, but couldn't get through. Sounds like you guys had a good time - sorry I missed it.

I'm sorry too

It was a pretty standard Hoboken scene by the time you called. A bunch of Bayonne/Hoboken/etc. guys crammed in a club dancing like us white folks do. I don't know how appealing that would have been.

Louise and Jerry's, on the other hand, you might dig.

um maybe you were both right. it is pretty cool to be bisexual don't you know. almost as cool as being a vampire

True

But I think it was more a whether or not he had any homosexual tendancies instead of whether or not he only swung that way. Or at least it was in my mind.

And I thought bisexuality was only trendy for females?

Re: True
