I'm currently lying down in an undisclosed bed in an undisclosed location. Sometime last night, my belly began to hurt. I reported for duty yesterday morning, and got worse as the day went on. Lunch didn't help, I tried stay hydrated and defend my precious bodily fluids, and eventually walk into town to get the little blue pills prescribed when I was in the hospital. Took a pill, and tried to feel better. Continued to feel more and more pain, contacted a the secret rulers, and arranged laying low where I am now. Spent the evening with pain, but not the crampy sharp pains I was used to... these were tender aching pains. Maybe the pills helped. If it had gotten worse, I might have gone to the hospital again. But what would they have done? Another round of lying in a bed paying tons of money to have tests done on me over and over while they do nothing for the pain until it goes away with time? Fuck that.

I feel much better now, though it still hurts if I twist or bend in the wrong way. I called [livejournal.com profile] blackbytes and tried to arrange coming in to work at one, but she threatened to kick my white ass if I tried. I'd sneak in anyway, like I always do, but people are getting better and better at ratting me out. I just don't want to leave [livejournal.com profile] caniswolfie alone. If only I had gotten the 650 to the point where I could finish up most of the config through remote desktop. Now that would be fun, calling [livejournal.com profile] acadtechers to put in a Barton Fink and take it out at the appropriate times. Reminds me, [livejournal.com profile] runstaverun still needs to update it. And all of you should join my army.

So I'm lying around like a gimp, Beaconing and Phoruming away, drinking fluids and monitoring my temperature. Maybe someone rubbed a bunch of people from South Orange against my blankets. *cough* All I need is Nyquil and Sprite, I have the soup.

I took this test, but wasn't going to post the results, but everyone is, so I reconsidered... )

Tonight is Game Night, with possible guest [livejournal.com profile] aaronkliger.

Tonight is Game Night, with possible guest [livejournal.com profile] aaronkliger.
Last week we watched Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and American Beauty. The latter, which I brought and forced [livejournal.com profile] johnstevensaul to watch, remains one of my favorite movies of all time. The former I had heard plenty about over the years, but had not seen before. Between that and Bedrooms and Hallways from the previous week, I'm going to have a hard time watching any Matrix or LotR movies and taking a certain actor seriously. Agent Elrond tying up young men and dancing in Abba. Yeah. Beyond that, it was worth seeing. Not an amazing movie, but a cultural reference point that's been jabbed into my side hundreds of times over my life.

Game Night was fun, as [livejournal.com profile] willthestud graced us with his company. We played Scattergories, which was fun. [livejournal.com profile] runstaverun and our guest BeyBladed it up, and we played some Xbox. Once more, I had way too much sushi on sale. I also managed to prove what a lightweight I was when it came to drinking. It was a good night, and it was cool to have [livejournal.com profile] willthestud there. He seemed like a good human being.

This week, lesbian night, we watched Kissing Jessica Stein and Bar Girls. Unfortunately, I didn't know about Movie Night being moved from Wednesday to Tuesday until after I had made plans for the evening. Seriously, with everything else going on that night, how was I supposed to remember that? But I managed to delay my plans so I could make at least one movie. Kissing Jessica Stein was quite well done, with the kind of ending that would make [livejournal.com profile] fmrflyboy upset, just like the movie [livejournal.com profile] johnstevensaul and I were afraid it was going to turn into on the rooftop scene. I'm sure [livejournal.com profile] aaronkliger and [livejournal.com profile] dougthekidd remember [livejournal.com profile] fmrflyboy's violent reaction to the end of that movie. I left after a third of Bar Girls, and what I did see seemed quite amusing.

And tonight, as I said, is Game Night with a possible visitor.
