My current ranking for the flicks, from best to worst, as of today:
  1. V: The Empire Strikes Back
  2. III: Revenge of the Sith
  3. IV: A New Hope
  4. II: Attack of the Clones
  5. VI: Return of the Jedi
  6. I: The Phantom Menace
  7. IV.5: The Star Wars Holiday Special
If you have a similar list with the exception of III, you'll probably love III. I know many people would disagree with me placing II in the middle of the holy trilogy, but I think people put them on too high of a pedestal. Don't get me wrong, I love them. But let's not forget that Lucas hasn't written good dialogue since American Graffiti, and that the acting wasn't always the best. Sometimes, even as a kid, I wanted to smack Luke and 3PO around and yell at them to stop being such whiny bitches.

So, looking at the IMDB record for III, I see Ahmed Best listed as Jar Jar. Jar Jar has a non-speaking role in the movie. Does this mean that he got his lines cut before the theatrical release? I wonder who made that call, and how bad it could have been. I kind of liked his role in II as being semi-responsible for the downfall of democracy, after the huge fan backlash (I thought the Gungan chief was far more annoying, despite having much less screen time). I wonder if that was changed to give the fans some sort of joy in watching their hated character water the seeds for the Empire.

Ahhhhh...is that the one with Chewbacca's family? God that was dreadful! You can see some long clips of that on I Film but I'm too lazy to do a search.

It's absolutely hilarious. From the cartoon to Jefferson Starship to Bea Arthur, it's just a painful laugh riot.

My roomie and I once inflicted it on a huge Star Wars fanboy our freshman year. He was drinking at the twenty minute mark.
